KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya pick the better batsman between Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli

With every passing inning at the international level, Virat Kohli draws larger comparisons with the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. The latest names to pick between the two greats of Indian cricket are KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya. Since his early days in international cricket, Kohli was tipped as Tendulkar’s successor and the current India skipper has very much lived up to the expectations.

His unprecedented consistency with the bat has left the cricketing world in awe and many even believe he has got what it takes to break some of the major batting records that are on Tendulkar’s name. Tendulkar is the most decorated batsman in the history of cricket. Having served the nation for over two decades, he retired with almost every superior batting record to his name.

The Mumbai-born star finished his illustrious Test career with a record 15,921 runs in 200 Tests including 51 centuries and 68 fifties. Considered as the greatest ODI player of all time by many, he played 463 50-overs games, scoring 18,426 runs and made 49 centuries, each of them a world record.

Kohli, on the other hand, is looking destined to create his own legacy. Last year, he broke Tendulkar’s long-standing record of fastest to 10,000 ODI runs. It took Kohli just 208 innings to achieve the feat while Tendulkar had taken 259 innings to get there. At just 30, Kohli has scored a staggering 38 centuries in ODIs and 25 in Tests.

With quite a few years left in his career, one can only expect the latter to eclipse more milestones in the coming days. And as he continues to churn out the runs with his remarkable consistency, the cricketing world continues to compare him with his illustrious predecessor.

Pandya and Rahul on Tendulkar vs Kohli?

While the jury is still out on who is the better batsmen between Tendulkar and Kohli, India cricket stars Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul seemed to have come to a conclusion. The duo recently appeared on chat show Koffee with Karan where both of them were asked to pick the better batsman between Kohli and Tendulkar. And both of them went for Kohli without any hesitation whatsoever.
