They had finished third on the points table with four wins in seven games, while the Madurai-based franchise topped the leaderboard at the end of the league stage, clinching wins in five out of their seven clashes. However, when it came to their meeting in the championship encounter, the Kovai-based side emerged triumphant.
Vida Kovai Kings found a certain match-winner in K. Deeban Lingesh in the 2026 edition. The right-arm medium-pace bowler picked up a staggering 17 wickets in a mere nine innings at a mind-boggling average of 12.23. He also emerged as the highest wicket-taker of the tournament, while Manimaran Siddharth was equally effective for the franchise with his 16 wickets across ten matches. The duo made for a formidable bowling pair, keeping the opposition batters on their toes throughout the successful season.
Meanwhile, Balasubramanian Sachin was the best contributor with the bat for the Vida Kovai Kings in TNPL 2026. Batting at an astonishing average of 53.50, Sachin stood his guard strong at the crease in the season, accumulating a total of 428 runs in only nine innings. He was also the highest run-getter of the season, which goes on to signify the dominance that the franchise held across all facets of the game to lift the trophy.
