Tom Moody worries for Aussies ahead of arduous India tour

Former Australian all-rounder Tom Moody has sounded the warning shots for the Australian cricket team ahead of their tour of India. While the Indians in recent times have been flawless and ruthless by killing off matches and winning series after series, the Aussies have been on the receiving end of the spectrum. With losses against the With losses against the likes of the South Africans and the Sri Lankans previously, their stock in the world ranking has seen them fall down rather substantially, to say the least. Moody, a World Cup winner with the Australian cricket team has gone on to state that he was worried for the Australian touring party later this year. Tom Moody, who coaches the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League went on to state that he would be holding his breath and also said that he would be expecting a very messy affair during the Border-Gavaskar series. “I think the Australia team has a lot of areas it needs to continue to develop. I will be holding my breath when this team jumps on the big bird and heads to India. It’s going to be messy, very messy,” Moody said on Macquarie Radio. He also stated that even England had experienced the same problems he foresaw the Aussies going through. Moreover, he also went on to state that the depth in batting for India was the key for them in terms of amazing the big totals. Speaking to Fairfax Media, Moody elaborated, “Not only Australia, England have just experienced it – it’s (India’s) a very, very difficult place to win. I think Australia, in the position it is now, reinventing itself as a Test side, are going to go there with a huge mountain to climb. India has endless batsmen that can pile on runs and they have got two spinners that do it better than anyone else in the world in those conditions.”
