Match Details:

The 4th game of the 2019 United States Tri-Nation Series is played between United States of America (U.S.A) and Namibia will be hosted by the Central Broward Regional Park (CBRP) Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill, Florida.

The match starts at 9:45 AM local time (1:45 PM GMT) (7:15 PM IST).

This game could be streamed live on YouTube by USA Cricket.

Preview:

The United States of America have been destructive in the Tri-Nation series at home as they cruised to their 3rd consecutive win in the tournament. They started the tournament with a close 5-run win on DLS method against PNG. In the following match, the hosts gave a thumping Namibia with some brilliance from their spin bowling attack. In the 3rd game on Thursday, they managed to defeat Papua New Guinea again.

They registered a 62-run win despite posting only 177 while batting first. This shows the strength in the USA’s bowling which could help them in winning big at home. They will now take on Namibia in their last match of the tournament. After this game, Namibia will face Papua New Guinea twice in two matches next week. Namibia has not lost an international match before coming into this tournament.

Weather Condition/Report:

There were spells of rain in the afternoon on Thursday but did not cause a reduction in overs. Similar weather is expected on Friday but the chances of rain will be higher.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The venue in Lauderhill continues to be a low scoring venue with the spinners dominating. Even 150 seems to be defendable on these pitches after what USA did to PNG on Thursday.

Average first innings score: 183 (ODI matches)

Record of chasing teams: Won – 1, Lost – 2

Probable Playing XIs:

United States of America (U.S.A):

Xavier Marshall, Monank Patel, Steven Taylor, Aaron Jones, Jaskaran Malhotra (WK), Karima Gore, Timil Patel, Elmore Hutchinson, Jessy Singh, Nisarg Patel, Saurabh Netravalkar (C).

Bench – Rusty Theron, Nosthush Kenjige, Sagar Patel.

Namibia:

Steven Baard, Karl Birkenstock, JP Kotze, Gerhard Erasmus (C), Craig Williams, JJ Smith, Zane Green (WK), Zhivago Groenewald, Christi Viljoen, Jan Frylinck, Bernard Scholtz.

Bench – Tangeni Lungameni, Helao Ya France, Ben Shikongo.

Top Picks:

Karima Gore has been the star of the tournament. He began with a handy knock with the bat before bagging the most of the wickets across all three matches. Namibia will be hoping that both Christi Viljoen and JJ Smith use their experience of playing overseas.

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:

Captain – JJ Smith, Steven Taylor, Karl Birkenstock, Karima Gore.

Vice-Captain – Aaron Jones, Steven Baard, Monank Patel, Craig Williams.

Steven Taylor as a bowler seems to be more useful in fantasy cricket than the batsman he is. Taylor bagged six wickets over last two matches and also scored 57 runs. He should be picked as captain or vice-captain after the recent success.

Suggested Playing XI No.1 for Fantasy Cricket:

Keeper – Zane Green

Batters – Aaron Jones, Karl Birkenstock (VC), Monank Patel

Expert Advice:

With a lot of options present in the all-rounders’ category, it will be ideal to exclude one among Timil Patel, Craig Williams and Gerhard Erasmus for fitting both Steven Taylor and JJ Smith.

Probable Winners:

The USA is expected to finish the series unbeaten.
