Watch: Devendra Bishoo Bowl a Replica of the Ball of the Century, Takes us Back in Memory Lanes: The world came to a standstill when Devendra Bishoo, the young West Indian leg spinner bowled a magical delivery which is being conceived by many as the ‘Ball of the Century’. In the ongoing West Indies v/s Australian test match, Bishoo spun a web with his six fer against the otherwise dominant Australians with his rank turners on the 2nd day of the first test match at Windsor Park in Roseau, Dominica.

Yesterday, the world was celebrating the 22nd anniversary in what is termed as the ball of the century where Shane Warne bowled a peach of a delivery to get rid of England batsman Mike Gatting which has left the batter in absolute disarray and awe. Warne had pitched the ball on the leg stump and then in a flash that it hit the turf. It sputtered back across Gatting and kissed the top of off stump. The Englishmen possessed an impeccable art of playing spin but even he was left in dander with the ripper.

You call it co-incidence or the fate of the destiny but I would like to remind you that on the very same day but after 22 years, Bishoo, the rookie young leg spinner had some other plans to celebrate the very occasion. He came up with a wonder ball against the Aussie wicket-keeper Brad Haddin in what was his most wizardry display of the art of leg spin bowling. He drifted the ball on the leg stump and the ball took a havoc turn, Haddin could hardly move his feet and was dumb found as the ball clipped the top of the off-stump. Haddin looked lame brained after getting an implausibly ripper of a delivery while Bishoo who has a cool and calm persona, had a gentle smile on his face as he knew the job was not over yet.
