Wishes pour in for Lasith Malinga on his 34th birthday

Sri Lankan speedster Lasith Malinga turns 34 today on 28th August and his Mumbai Indians teammate Hardik Pandya wished his senior in great style. Pandya is currently an opponent of Lasith Malinga as India and Sri Lanka have engaged themselves in a 5 match ODI series in the island nation. The rising Indian star wasted no time in wishing the slinger, from who he has gained a lot during their time at the Mumbai Indians camp. Hardik took to his official Twitter account and shared a selfie of himself with the curly haired sensation, Lasith Malinga. He paired the picture with a beautiful tweet where he termed the genius as the ‘king of yorkers’ and wished him a very happy birthday. However, Hardik was not the only one who wished Malinga, the owner of 489 international wickets. Other wishes: Former Indian cricketer and active commentator Akash Chopra also sent a message on the Sri Lankan’s birthday. Akash Chopra referred to Malinga’s unorthodox bowling style and wished him on the special day. A tweet also came from the International Cricket Council highlighting the achievements of the bowler. The apex cricket board congratulated the bowler for taking a gigantic number of wickets in the Sri Lanka colours and leading his nation to the World T20 title in 2014. Indian off spinner and Mumbai Indians colleague Harbhajan Singh also took to the social media platform to post a tweet in Malinga’s name. He wished the bowler a very happy birthday and hailed him as a superb human being. Mumbai Indians skipper and Indian opener Rohit Sharma in his tweet flattered the bowler as a true match winner and mentioned that every captain would love to have him on the team.
