Match Details:

The 21st match of the 2019 Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) will be played between Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Stars at the W.A.C.A Ground in Perth.

The match starts at 10:30 AM local time (3:00 AM GMT) (8:30 AM IST).

The game will be live on Sony TEN 3 and Sony TEN 3 HD in India. Live streaming available on Sony Liv.

Preview:

The Melbourne Stars finally brought an end to their losing streak as they got their first points after losing each of their first four matches. Lizelle Lee’s 2nd hundred in the WBBL helped Stars to finish on 155/3 in their 20 overs. Lizelle alone scored 103* from 65 balls with 13 fours and three sixes. The total might look slightly lower due to an individual brilliance but the hosts Perth Scorchers struggled in the chase.

The Scorchers were 56/1 after six overs; the most by any team in the mandatory powerplay in this season but ended up 21 short of the target. The Stars will now face the Sydney Sixers who defeated the Melbourne Renegades in the afternoon at the WACA. The Sixers now have won three out of four matches they played thus far and aim to move close to the top of the points table.

Weather Condition/Report:

The W.A.C.A ground in Perth could be under the clouds in the morning. However, no rain is forecasted on Sunday at this venue.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The moisture in the morning game between the Sixers and Stars saw the batters getting trouble to play their shots. However, by the 2nd game of the day, batting became easy before spinners started to get help on the used surface. The Sunday’s match is expected to be played on a fresh pitch which could be slightly slower in nature.

Average first innings score: 140 (WBBL games since 2017/18)
