The series is scheduled to begin on the 18th of August under the leadership of Shikhar Dhawan. With many senior players taking some time off, the young guns will have another opportunity to establish their class in international cricket. Meanwhile, the hosts will be more than confident this time. Playing against Bangladesh, Zimbabwe registered their maiden T20I series win over a Test-playing nation and are also leading 2-0 in the ODI series. The team has looked really confident in the first two ODI matches against Bangladesh. Sikandar Raza has scored two back-to-back hundreds and is currently in the form of his life. If he keeps up with the momentum, young Indian bowlers will be under some kind of pressure. Regis Chakabva and Innocent Kaia have played some good cricket as well.
