Orange Cap in IPL 2024: RCB's veteran batter Virat Kohli leads the Orange Cap race in IPL 2024 with 542 runs after PBKS vs CSK Match 53.

RCB star batter Virat Kohli has looked at his vintage best this season, carrying his team batting lineup. He even notched up his first hundred of IPL 2024, scoring an unbeaten 113* off 72 balls with the help of 12 fours and four sixes against Rajasthan Royals during Match 19 in Jaipur. He has been leading from the front having notched 542 runs in 11 matches so far. 

CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad stormed to the second of the Orange Cap list with a 62 off 48 in Match 49 against PBKS. The right hand batter has now 541 runs in 11 matches an sensational average of 147.41. He is also the first batter to breach 50 boundaries in the IPL 2024. The 27 year old has four half centuries and one century so far in the IPL 2024

The surprise entry in the Orange Cap Race is of the Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine who’s once enjoying the opportunity to open the innings for his side. The southpaw has been butchering bowling lineups with his blade as he occupies the 3rd spot in the list with 461 runs to his name from 11 innings at an average of 41.91 and a phenomenal strike rate of 183.67.

Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant has also looked in imperious form on his comeback to the cricket field after surviving a near-fatal car accident. The southpaw sits on the fourth spot with 398 runs from 11 innings at an average of 44.22 and a strike rate of 158.57. He recently played a breathtaking innings of 88* (43) against Gujarat Titans in Match 40.

Also, Aussie David Warner has won the Orange Cap award the most number of times (three).
