The knock-out stages in the World Cup are one of the toughest things to deal with as a cricketer. With the stage being set at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, the Windies took on the home team during the semi-final of the World Cup. The pressure was high and the home team was batting first.

On the back of Virat Kohli’s 89, India managed to post 192/2 in their 20 overs. Apart from Kohli, Rohit and Rahane also contributed with the bat. But, the real drama was unleashed during the second innings.

Because of some errors, the Windies batsmen got lifelines. Simmons scored a solid 82 from 51 balls. To assist him, Russell scored 43 from 20 balls as well. At the end of 20 overs, the Windies scored 196 runs and went into the final. This was the highest run chase in a knockout stage.
