6 Mistakes franchises committed in the IPL Auction; the Released star players: Indian Premier League (IPL) has kicked off in style, a few teams wanted to change their team combinations for the 8th edition and in the process have released a few players. While some franchises would admit they made a blunder releasing the players they did as their move rather benefited the side that has bought those players. Here is the list of the players whose release might leave an unfulfilled void for their previous teams. Each mistake here is the release of a player. 1. The KKR would now be rethinking their decision of releasing a player of his caliber. 2. They must still be feel they took the right decisions by picking him after watching de Villier play blinders for RCB over the years. 3. Punjab gave him the right position and freedom and that is when he has started performing at his best. Maxwell scored 552 runs in 16 games and with a strike rate of 187.95. He brought a lot of value to the side and has been a regular feature for them. 6. Shikhar Dhawan: Shikhar is an ideal player to have in the squad for a T20 game as the left hander is capable of hitting the big sixes and is a swift runner between the wickets as well. Later, he was picked by MI where he had a forgettable season but was later bought by the Deccan Chargers, and he played there like never before. Shikhar Dhawan had the license to go for it and enjoyed playing under Adam Gilchrist and went on to score a prolific 569 runs in 15 matches. Since being induced in the SRH for 2013 and 2014 season he has led the team from the front and has been a top performer.
