7. Rajasthan Royals- Bangladesh

Much like CSK, the Royals too faced a two-year suspension and Bangladesh too, have had enough controversies surrounding their team in their cricket history, much because of the hostility that their fans show towards the opposition and occasionally, because of their antics on the field as well. On paper, both these squads look balanced but it’d almost appeal to someone that they are not well equipped to beat the big teams even though they have done it in the past.

The Royals are more or less the silent performers and they do not have fans spread across the country but their major chunk lies in Rajasthan. Bangladesh, on the other hand, has got fans mainly in Bangladesh and a few parts of the world which is nothing compared to the fan bases of sides like India, Australia or the Windies.

The approach of their captains is similar as they are attacking in their plans The Royals and the Tigers have got a good, solid batting order to start with and on slow tracks they are a force to be reckoned with and are tough to beat because of their spin attacks. Having won the inaugural edition of the IPL, the double R’s have failed to replicate the promise that they once showed the World and with Bangladesh, they keep on telling the world through their performances that they are good enough to take on the Big Dogs but when it comes to the showdown, it all boils down to the margin of defeat.

Yes, they’ve come close on a few occasions and had knocked out England in the ICC CWC 2015 but that seems a distant memory now since all the squads are shaping up pretty nicely. RR and Bangladesh need to work on their consistency but their brand of cricket is something that can be admired as given the squad that they’ve got, one would expect them to be defensive but they take the Bull by its horns more often than not and it’s admirable.
