8 IPL teams and their international equivalents

8. Mumbai Indians – India
With three title wins and the first team to reach 100 IPL wins, the Mumbai Indians have established themselves as the most successful team of the competition, statistically. India, on the other hand, has retained the Test mace for a record 3rd time establishing themselves as the best Test side in the world at the moment. Not to forget, their ODI form is pretty good barring a few losses against Australia the men in blue seem to be all set for the World Cup.
On the other hand, the Mumbai Indians are finding some grip early in the tournament and with most of their players in form, they are serious contenders for the title, just like India is, to the World Cup. Both these sides are batting heavy with an excellent death bowling unit at their disposal which helps them contain the opposition at the fag end of the innings and then chase it down with ease. Not to forget, a good spin attack helps them slow down the opposition in the middle overs, and a good blend of all-rounders ensures that all the bases are covered.
Coming to their Leadership house, Rohit Sharma, the most successful IPL captain and Virat Kohli, the man who lifted India from the 7th position to the 1st position in the ICC Test rankings only tell us that both these squads are incapable and young hands. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are known to lead from the front and their captaincy styles are no different. The Men in blue are fast climbing the ladder to become the most dominant side in World Cricket (franchise cricket in case of Mumbai Indians), and these two sides are a perfect fit for each other (PS: The color of their jerseys match too).
