'Awesome signing' - Sarah Taylor eager to learn the tricks of the trade from Mohammad Rizwan at Sussex

Mohammad Rizwan has had a dream year with the willow in T20 cricket. The Pakistan batter has scored over 2000 runs in this calendar year in T20s, and has been the monarch of all that he has surveyed.

And, Mohammad Rizwan has signed a contract with Sussex for the T20 Blast tournament next year. And, Sussex Cricket took to Twitter to announce the signing of Rizwan. “Sussex Cricket is excited to announce the signing of Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan. Welcome to Sussex, Mohammad Rizwan,” tweeted the official Twitter handle of Sussex.

And, Sarah Taylor has responded to this tweet. Taylor stated that she cannot wait to learn from the Pakistan wicketkeeper batter. She also labelled Rizwan’s signing as an awesome one. “Cannot wait to learn from Mohammad Rizwan. Awesome signing,” tweeted Sarah Taylor.

I am honoured to be a part of the historic Sussex County Cricket Club: Mohammad Rizwan

Mohammad Rizwan said that he is thrilled to be a part of the Sussex Cricket Club for the 2022 edition of the T20 Blast. Adding that he has heard so many great things about the club, Rizwan opined that the Sussex community is very close to his heart.

“I am absolutely honoured and excited to be a part of the historic Sussex County Cricket Club for the 2022 season. I have always heard great things about the Sussex community and this family club was always close to my heart,” said Mohammad Rizwan.

Mohammad Rizwan also responded to the signing on Twitter as well. He thanked the Sussex Cricket Club for this opportunity and tweeted that he is looking forward to a great season next year. “Thank you for the opportunity. In sha Allah, look forward to a great 2022 season,” tweeted Mohammad Rizwan.
