It is time that time of the season when the final four teams of the Indian Premier League season will fight it out for the title. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) head to the first playoff game being placed second in the League table. SRH’s win over Punjab Kings and the washed-out game between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals was the reason behind Hyderabad finishing second.

This year Sunrisers Hyderabad under the inspirational captaincy of Pat Cummins have played exemplary cricket. The Australian star has been a positive influence on the team with the ball and on occasions with the bat and also as a captain.

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders are set to play for the second time this season. The two teams had met earlier in the season where KKR had won the high-scoring encounter by the barest margins despite Heinrich Klaasen’s knock. Both sides will come out hard knowing what is at stake when they take to the field in Ahmedabad on Tuesday night.

Here is the predicted Sunrisers Hyderabad XI for their game against KKR in the 1st playoff game for IPL 2024

Openers – Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma

Sunrisers Hyderabad will head into the game hoping to have their opening pair of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma fire with the bat yet again. Travis Head was out for a first-ball duck in the game against Punjab Kings. The 30-year-old is a big-match player and with over 500 runs this season with a strike rate of 201.33, Travis Head is a player that SRH will pin their hopes on to give his team a good start.

467 runs with a strike of 209.42 is the kind of number that Abhishek Sharma has come up this year with the bat. The young batter has formed a dangerous alliance at the top of the order with Travis Head which has seen them put the best bowlers to sword. Abhishek Sharma’s fearless attitude bat has been a huge source of strength for the SRH side in their run to the IPL 2024 playoffs.

By the time the Indian Premier League 2024 season ends, Heinrich Klaasen will be seen in a different light by bowlers across the world. Heinrich Klaasen and his run-scoring and the rate at which he scores his runs have been a huge plus for the SRH Side.

Abdul Samad may not done much with the bat this season, but the youngster is a play for the big occasions. The 23-year-old has the game and the talent to strike it big in the end overs and help his team post a good score on the board.

Young Nitish Kumar Reddy has been able to impress everyone with the bat and ball with each passing game. Pat Cummins has shown immense faith on the youngster and made him a key player of the side.

Shahbaz Ahmed has been a useful addition to the Sunrisers Hyderabad team had been a consistent performer so far. Sanvir Singh has given glimpses of his talents with the bat and the 27-year-old will hope to show his talent in the key stages of the tournament for his side.

SRH skipper Pat Cummins will want to play just two more games and bring the second-ever title for his team. The 31-year-old has been a smart operator with the ball and has also been leading the team well. The onus of picking early wickets will be on Bhuvneshwar Kumar who has enjoyed a renaissance in form with the ball in the last few games.

Left-arm pacer T Natarajan has shown glimpses of his old self with the ball and has been a trusted bowler for Pat Cummins. The left-arm seamer who has been out of the Indian team, for a while will want to use IPL to make it back to the national team. Mayank Markande will be given another chance to prove his worth to the team with the ball and hopefully do well in the middle overs.
