The Netherlands have won only two games in this competition but their dedication towards the game is phenomenal. The Dutch side locked horns with Sri Lanka in the 19th game of the tournament. Scott Edwards and his men lost the game to the1996 champions but the Orange Army gave a tough time in the contest on several occasions.

Defending a decent total of 262 runs, the Dutch side dismissed the top-order batters Kusal Perera and Kusal Mendis early and returned into the game. In the end, Sri Lanka held their nerves and bagged a five-wicket win but the Netherlands’ fighting spirit was appreciated.

Aryan Dutt put up a disciplined show with the ball, picking up three wickets against Sri Lanka. Following the Sri Lanka challenge, the Dutch team got a 309-run beating from Australia in Delhi. Fielding first in the game, the Netherlands’ bowlers looked helpless and struggled to stop the flow of runs. After the first innings’ action, the Men in Orange splurged 399 runs.
