IPL 2023: 5 Players RR might trade in trading window
Rajasthan Royals were the runner-ups in the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League
1. Nathan Coulter-Nile
Nathan Coulter-Nile has been a giant of a player in the T20 circuit. He has featured in 146 T20 matches and taken 170 wickets at an economy of 7.78. The bowling all-rounder also has been smashing at a strike rate of 132.21.
Rajasthan Royals drafted the 34-year-old ahead of the 2022 season to provide balance to the side. However, Coulter-Nile could play a lone game where he leaked 48 runs in three overs and was sidelined from the rest of the competition due to injury.
The Australian cricketer has been plagued with injuries more often than not and has been forced to miss IPL games in earlier seasons as well. In 2014, his stint for the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) was cut short because of a hamstring injury and even in the last year, Coulter-Nile struggled with a calf injury and had to miss out on a couple of games. Thus, RR would likely look to release the veteran all-rounder who has been massively injury-prone and free up an overseas slot.
