There are some top performers in white-ball cricket who have performed exceptionally well at the bigger stages of late but have missed out on the spot for the T20 World Cup.
1. Sunil Narine
Sunil Narine has been a giant player in the T20 circuit. He is known to bamboozle batters with his variations and is a fearsome striker of a cricket ball. In IPL 2022, he was at his miserly best and took nine wickets in 14 games for Kolkata Knight Riders at an insane economy of 5.57. Further, in limited outings with the bat, he smashed at a strike rate of 177.50.
Narine carried his form to other T20 competitions as well. In the recently culminated The Hundred, he took 11 wickets in six games for Oval Invincibles at an economy of 6.05. Moreover, he had a great outing in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League for the Trinbago Knight Riders.

Unfortunately, a T20 legend like Narine would not feature in the upcoming marquee event. On Narine's unavailability in the West Indies squad, CWI chief selector Desmond Haynes said “I did not get any notice from Narine regarding his availability to play. There were conversations that the captain (Nicholas Pooran) was having with Narine, and from all reports, it seemed that he was not interested."
