8. Mohammed Shami

Mohammed Shami is one of the most underrated bowlers in world cricket at the moment. Despite creating remarkable records for India in international cricket with his pace and skill, he hasn’t got the credit that he richly deserves. Before the emergence of Jasprit Bumrah, Shami was the leader of India’s bowling attack.

In the 2015 World Cup, Shami spearheaded India’s bowling unit brilliantly picking up 17 wickets in seven matches at a decent economy of 4.81. He also achieved a hat-trick against Afghanistan in the 2019 World Cup, thus becoming the second Indian bowler to take three in three in World Cups.

The veteran achieved another milestone in 2021 as he became the fifth Indian fast bowler to bag 200 Test wickets. In his outstanding 10-year-long career thus far, Shami has trapped 406 batters with his speed in 172 games at an economy of 4.10.
