IPL 2025: Prabhsimran Singh brings joy to his ill father with his good performances
PBKS batter Prabhsimran Singh's father has been suffering from a kidney ailment
Prabhsimran Singh has had his best IPL season in 2025 with the Punjab Kings. The star batter might be doing it indirectly to make his father, Sardar Surjit Singh, happy, who has been ill.
Notably, Prabhsimran's father is dealing with a kidney ailment, as his brother Satwinderpal Singh confirmed recently.
In the interview, Satwinderpal claimed that the only time he smiles is when he watches his son bat. Sardar's elder brother confirmed that Prabhsimran's father has been undergoing dialysis thrice a week. "The only time he smiles these days is when he sees Prabhsimran bat in the IPL. He is going through dialysis thrice a week," Satwinderpal was quoted as saying by the Times of India.
Satwinderpal expressed his pain of seeing his younger brother ill and claimed to have prayed for his speedy recovery. "As an elder brother, I can't see the pain he is enduring. I have to step out of the house when the doctors come home for the dialysis. Not a day has gone by that I have not prayed that it should not be my younger brother," Satwinderpal added.
If Simmu plays a rash shot, he shouts: Satwinderpal Singh
He claimed that Sardar watches every match of PBKS in his living room. Satwinderpal confirmed that Prabhsimran's dad smiles and laughs whenever he sees his son on Television. He added that Sardar forgets all his pain and shouts at his son if he plays a rash shot.
"Before every Punjab Kings match, I carry him to the living room. We watch the match together, and every time the camera is on Simmu, he smiles. If Simmu scores, he keeps on smiling and laughing. In those moments, he forgets the pain he is in," Satwinderpal added.
"If Simmu plays a rash shot, he shouts, 'khotte aaram naal khel (play sensibly)," he concluded. The PBKS batter has scored 437 runs in 11 innings at a great strike rate of 170.04 in the IPL 2025. Together with Priyansh Arya, he has formed the best opening duo for a team in the season.
