[WATCH] IPL 2025: RCB fan wraps car with 'nimbu-mirchi' to avoid bad omen ahead grand finale

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), who are the most passionately followed teams in the Indian Premier League, will take on Punjab Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3. While the players are preparing for the summit clash, the fans are doing their bit off the field to showcase their loyalty and are performing rituals in the pursuit of lifting the trophy.

Ahead of the game, a passionate RCB fan in Bengaluru was spotted with his car entirely wrapped with Nimbu-Mirchi (lemon and green chillies), a traditional Indian ritual to avoid bad omen. The vehicle also had placards reading 'Anti-Nazar Squad'.

With years of heartbreak and near misses, fans have shown their support throughout the tough times. Meanwhile, the two RCB legends, Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers, will be in the stands for the final. Meanwhile, this game will be a rematch of Qualifier 1, which the Bengaluru-based franchise won convincingly by eight wickets.

However, PBKS, despite taking a longer route, thrashed Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 2 and clinched a spot in the finals after a gap of 11 years. Both teams, who have been part of this competition since 2008, have the best chance to lift their maiden IPL gold and finally end their trophy drought. Notably, this is the fourth time in IPL history that the final will feature trophyless teams since 2009.
