West Indies are set to take on Australia in the third and final Test of the series at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica, beginning on July 12. This match marks a historic occasion, as it will be the first-ever day-night Test held at this iconic venue. Australia currently lead the three-match series 2-0.

So far, both Tests have heavily favoured bowlers, with batters finding it difficult to score freely. The highest individual score in the series so far has been Brandon King's 75. Remarkably, neither side has yet produced a standout batter with a three-figure performance.

In the first Test, Caribbean pacer Shamar Joseph impressed with a nine-wicket haul across both innings. For Australia, Josh Hazlewood picked up seven wickets, while Travis Head stood out with half-centuries in both innings. Australia went on to win the match by 159 runs.

In the second Test, Australia’s bowlers once again delivered a collective effort to dismantle the West Indies batting line-up. Although several Australian batters registered half-centuries, none were able to fully dominate. Nevertheless, Australia secured the match by 133 runs.

Heading into the third Test, West Indies will look to end the series on a high with a morale-boosting win. Meanwhile, Australia will be eyeing a clean sweep as they prepare to shift focus to the upcoming white-ball fixtures.

Sabina Park, Kingston — Pitch Report

The pitch at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica is expected to be on the slower side, providing batters with an opportunity to settle in and build their innings, provided they can survive the initial burst with the new ball. With the Dukes ball in use, pacers are likely to find early assistance in the form of seam movement and swing. As the match progresses, the surface is anticipated to deteriorate, making shot-making increasingly difficult and bringing spinners and reverse swing into play.
