IPL 2024: RCB vs KKR, Match 10 - Latest IPL 2024 Points Table, Highest Run Scorers, and Wicket Takers

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) crossed swords in Match 10 of the Indian Premier League 2024 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday, March 29. KKR won the flip and opted to bowl first. The RCB skipper Faf du Plessis went back to the pavilion in a hurry, and later Virat Kohli stitched a much-needed partnership of 65 runs alongside Cameron Green. After Green was dismissed for 33, Kohli persisted with his knock and Glenn Maxwell put up a decent 28-run show. Kohli’s 83* runs and Dinesh Karthik’s finishing touch of unbeaten 20 runs took RCB to a fighting total of 182.

Chasing the target, KKR promoted Sunil Narine to the opening spot with Phil Salt. Both forged 86 runs for the first wicket, and RCB bowlers were clueless. Salt was dismissed for 30 and Narine followed suit, scoring 47 off 22 balls. Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer batted without any qualms and the duo scored 50 and an unbeaten 39 respectively. As a result, KKR reached the target with 23 balls to spare and won the match by seven wickets.

IPL 2024 Points Table:

After a seven wicket victory over RCB, KKR have jumped to the second spot in the points table. As they chased the target with more than three overs to spare, they have got a substantial boost to their Net Run Rate (NRR). As for RCB, they have further slipped to sixth spot in the points table with a further dent in their rate.

Most Runs in IPL 2024:

With his knock of 83 runs in 59 deliveries, Virat Kohli has overtaken Heinrich Klaasen to claim the top spot in the list for most runs. The top five of the list possess two Rajasthan Royals batters and two Sunrisers Hyderabad batters, with the 35-year-old representing RCB in the race for Orange Cap with 181 runs in three games.

Most Wickets in IPL 2024:

Andre Russel has breached the top five list for the most wickets in IPL 2024 so far, ousting T Natarajan of Hyderabad. His impressive spell of two wickets for 29 runs against RCB has further solidified his third spot on the list. Another KKR pacer, Harshit Rana, has been making waves since his last over heroics against SRH in the first game. With his two wickets for 39 runs against RCB, he has claimed the second spot.
