England will take on Namibia at the Sir Viv Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua after delivering an invigorating performance against Oman and will hope to firmly consolidate their position in the Super 8s.

At this stadium, England put in Oman to bat and relentlessly attacked with the ball. Only one player for Oman made it to double figures as Adil Rashid's 4-fer was supplemented by 3-fers of their own from Jofra Archer and Mark Wood to sink Oman down to a very low total of just 47. England needed to be mindful of NRR calculations and they decided to come out all guns blazing. Phil Salt hit sixes off the first two balls he faced, but was dismissed by the third. Jos Buttler in response kept the boundaries coming. While Will Jacks couldn't quite keep the tempo up, Jonny Bairstow hit fours off both the balls he faced as England chased down the target in just 3.1 overs, giving them the much needed NRR boost.

Namibia had to endure something similar to England's assault on Oman in their last game, which was against Australia. Captain Gerhard Erasmus scored exactly half of his team's runs as Adam Zampa's 4-fer found ample support in rest of Australia's bowling in shooting Nambia out for just 72. Australia decided to take an aggressive approach with all of three of their players who batted going at a strike of 200 or more and chased the target down within the powerplay.

Sir Viv Richards Stadium Pitch Report:

Each of the last two matches at this stadium have yielded totals below 100 in the first innings, and it is easy to flay the pitch for that. But looking further, it can be seen that the second innings run rates in these two matches were 13.05 and 15.78, so there may not be as many problems with the pitch as first suspected. The track is likely to remain healthy enough.

T20I Stats & Records at Sir Viv Richards Stadium:

England vs Nambia Strategies and Match-ups:

England have already surpassed Scotland's net run rate, and the equation is now simple. England have to beat Namibia and hope that Australia beats Scotland. But, a washout in either game will send Scotland through to the Super 8. England will want to win this match and remove any possibility of Scotland upstaging their NRR even though the difference is quite big. It would not be wrong to expect Namibia to befell a similar fate as the one they had to endure against Australia.

The important match-ups for this match are: Rubel Trumpelmann vs Jos Buttler, Phil Salt vs David Wiese, Gerhard Erasmus vs Adil Rashid, David Wiese vs Mark Wood.

X-Factors for England vs Namibia:

England:

Jos Buttler has so far been the best English player on display in this tournament, and his aggressive outlook will further cement England's ambitions.

Namibia:

Namibia have also looked to their captain Gerhard Erasmus to take on the bulk of the team's responsibilities as demonstrated in the last two matches. If Namibia can finish the tournament on a high, Erasmus will have a role to play.
