India and Pakistan clashes once were known for individual battles but the decrease in the number of games between the two sides ensured that players on one side end up facing a new player of the other side. However, there will be some batsmen vs bowler clashes to look out for during the Champions Trophy 2017 final between the two sides which could be crucial in deciding the fate of the game.

Pakistan bowlers vs Indian batsmen:

Mohammad Amir:

Player Runs Balls Dismissals Average S/R Fours Sixes
Rohit Sharma 18 39 0 46.15 2 0
Shikhar Dhawan 2 3 0 66.67 0 0
Virat Kohli 16 17 0 94.12 2 0
Yuvraj Singh 6 3 0 200 0 0
MS Dhoni 1 5 0 20 0 0

Junaid Khan:

Player Runs Balls Dismissals Average S/R Fours Sixes
Rohit Sharma 30 32 1 30 93.75 4 1
Shikhar Dhawan 17 14 0 121.43 2 0
Virat Kohli 2 22 3 0.67 9.09 0 0
Yuvraj Singh 1 14 1 1 7.14 0 0
MS Dhoni 41 24 0 170.83 4 2

It will be interesting to see how Mohammad Amir will fare in the final given the way Indians especially Rohit Sharma opt to play him out safely while Junaid Khan will possess the threat given the way he has bowled in the past against Indian batsmen especially Virat Kohli, whom he dismissed three times in the 4 previous meetings but Junaid was not a part of the XI in the group stage match.

Mohammad Hafeez:

Player Runs Balls Dismissals Average S/R Fours Sixes
Rohit Sharma 22 27 0 81.48 2 0
Shikhar Dhawan 11 15 1 11 73.33 1 0
Virat Kohli 24 39 0 61.54 0 0
Yuvraj Singh 11 10 1 11 110 1 0
MS Dhoni 78 110 1 78 70.91 3 3

Shoaib Malik:

Player Runs Balls Dismissals Average S/R Fours Sixes
Rohit Sharma 16 18 1 16 88.89 1 0
Shikhar Dhawan 7 7 0 100 1 0
Virat Kohli 13 7 0 185.71 1 1
Yuvraj Singh 195 189 1 195 103.17 22 3
MS Dhoni 94 101 4 23.5 93.07 6 3

Pakistan will be tempted to use the services of Hafeez who didn’t bowl in the previous meeting, and he could be handy against Shikhar Dhawan and Yuvraj Singh who happily milked the Pakistan bowlers last time. Malik also could provide the variety to the spin attack but considering how Yuvraj fared against him, Pakistan might not risk to hand him the ball.

With a lot of new faces in the Pakistan line-up the likes of Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam, there is no interesting past record for the Indian bowlers against them. But the youngsters certainly hold the key for Pakistan in the batting department.
