The ongoing second Test between England and India has been privy to a lot of exciting cricketing action. Rains, runs, wickets – it’s all been happening at the Lord’s. Recently, it was Aakash Chopra who tweeted a funny screen grab of a hilarious mistake on the part of the broadcasters regarding Stuart Broad.

The second Test between India and England has been an uneven battle, with the Indian batting order failing miserably to put up a solid defense. On the other hand, the Joe Root-led England have been phenomenal with the ball, with the likes of Stuart Broad , James Anderson and Chris Woakes stunning one and all.

Broadcasters make a hilarious mistake with Stuart Broad’s name

India’s first innings saw a miserable show of batting from the Virat Kohli-led side as the visitors were dismissed for a paltry total of 107 runs. In reply to that, England declared at a mammoth tally of 396 runs. While it has been an all pacers show throughout the Test match, the Indian second innings showcased some top notch bowling from the English side, especially Broad.

However, the broadcasters seem to have missed a trick when it comes to appreciating Broad for his sensational bowling. In the thirtieth over of the Indian second innings, Stuart Broad produced two consecutive sensational deliveries that flummoxed Kohli and Dinesh Karthik, leading Broad to the brink of a hat-trick. The broadcasters, while displaying this feat, accidentally displayed the names of Chris Broad instead of Stuart Broad on the screen.

60-year old Chris Broad, on his part, is a former English cricketer and broadcaster himself, who currently serves as a cricket official. Indian cricket expert Aakash Chopra was quick to notice the broadcast blunder and posted a picture of the same on his Twitter account. Notwithstanding the regular interruptions due to rain, India are staring at the bottom of the barrel, having lost 6 wickets already and a trail of nearly 200 runs looming over their heads.

Here’s what Aakash Copra tweeted:
