Gautam Gambhir, the Delhi-born Indian cricketer, has been an active participant in the social media platforms, especially Twitter where he keeps dropping his opinions at regular intervals surrounding developments in the sports world as well as on other topics. While the left-handed batsman has received appreciations, the 36-year-old has also been criticised on quite a few instances.

However, the cricketer is in a bit of trouble as far as his social media connections are concerned. His Twitter account got hacked and the hacker sent messages of prominent personalities like former Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist and Michael Clarke, former Sri Lankan wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara and popular Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh.

After realising the misuse of his account, he took to Twitter and made all of them aware about the same, “Hi @gilly381 @MClarke23 @KumarSanga2 @IChitrangda my twitter handle seems to be hacked. Please ignore the messages and I fear that hackers may have got out some personal info from you guys as well. Please beware,”

Here is Gambhir’s message

Thereafter, Kumar Sangakkara and Shikhar Dhawan reverted to Gambhir’s tweet. While Dhawan hilariously mentioned that he opened the link, the Lankan cricketer had his suspicion and refrained from clicking on the link.

Here are Sangakkara and Dhawan’s reply

An impressive start to Vijay Hazare Trophy

The veteran is currently captaining Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and has done an excellent job thus far. His side has won their first two matches against Saurashtra and Hyderabad respectively in Delhi. In the first match, he scored 62 runs from 48 balls with the help of 10 fours. Moreover, the seasoned campaigner helped his team effortlessly chase down 238 runs with four overs to spare.

The batter translated his impressive form in the second match as well having scored 41 runs from 47 balls to guide Delhi to consecutive wins in the 50-overs tournament. Delhi are currently placed in the second spot after Chattisgarh on account of having a lower Net Run Rate (NRR). Gambhir’s team is next scheduled to lock horns with Uttar Pradesh, who are yet to win a match, on September 24.
