Andrew Tye started playing cricket at a ripe young age of 30, but didn’t take time in hitting his straps. He impressed in the 2015-16 season of the Big Bash League and was bagged by the Gujarat Lions for 50 Lakhs. However, he couldn’t get a game in his debut season. He played six games in 2017 and picked up 12 wickets during the season.

He also picked up a hat-trick on debut against the Rising Pune Supergiant. Nevertheless, he sustained a shoulder injury which ruled him out of the remainder of the Indian Premier League. Recently, he bagged his third hat-trick in T20 cricket for the Perth Scorchers against the Sydney Sixers. The pacer has a base price of 100 Lakhs and is expected to go big in the upcoming IPL 2018 auction.
