2. N Jagadeesan
N Jagadeesan has been a part of the yellow army since 2018. The franchise bagged his services yet again, buying him for his base price of INR 20 lakh. Since Moeen’s replacement is likely to play just one game, Jagadeesan might be allowed to showcase his skills.
The 26-year-old batter has played only five matches since joining the defending champions and could be given a chance to prove his mettle against the last year’s finalist. Jagadeesan finished as Tamil Nadu’s highest run-getter in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021/22 and amassed 204 runs in just eight matches.
The 26-year-old is a free-flowing batter, and under the guidance of skipper MS Dhoni, the wicketkeeper-batter can learn some valuable skills. Jagadeesan has scored only 33 runs in two innings he has played in the IPL. The right-handed batter will be looking to showcase his skills in the upcoming edition.
