3. Mitchell Santner
Handy with the bat and more than handy with the ball, New Zealand all-rounder Mitchell Santner can be the perfect replacement for Moeen Ali. The 30-year-old all-rounder has loads of experience and he has been an integral part of the CSK squad.
Another player who has not got many opportunities since arriving at CSK, Mitchell Santner might get a game this season. He will be a like-to-like replacement for Moeen, but the chances of him batting at number three are unlikely. The team might only consider playing him if they need someone who can back Ravindra Jadeja. Santner has re-signed with CSK for INR 1.90 crore.
Talking about Santner’s numbers in the IPL, the left-arm-spinner has played six matches in which he has scalped six wickets. The Kiwi bowls with an excellent economy of seven. Santner is also quite good with the bat. He has a strike rate of almost 140 and an average of 32 in IPL.
