Another Caribbean player, who has made his name in T20 cricket is due to his performances in the IPL. Andre Russell was one of the four retained players of the KKR team for the 2022 season. His form in the next two league games was average, but he returned with a knock of 70* off 31 balls against PBKS, to set up a fine season for him.

With a knock of 40+ runs against Sunrisers and Titans, he emerged as the match-winner for the team and had returned with figures of 4/5 in the latter game as well. In the latter half of the season, Russell looked confident in his abilities and contributed in both departments of the game.

Although he could not help the team to seal the playoffs spot, the 33-year-old smashed 335 runs and took 17 wickets in the season. He certainly was the best performing all-rounder for the Knight Riders and will look to continue his fine performance in the next season.
