It came as a surprise, when the Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan was not retained by his former franchise, SRH. However, he was picked by the Gujarat Titans (GT) ahead of this season’s auction. In the first few games, he was economical and put the brakes on the opposition.

In this season, he finally contributed with the bat and won a couple of games for the team. In a game against CSK, he led the team and scored 40 off 21 balls. Thereafter, he was terrific against Sunrisers hitting sixes in a consistent manner, which further extended the batting department of the team.

Rashid’s best figures of 4/24 came against LSG, which paved way for the team to seal the top spot in the points table. With 91 runs and 18 wickets in the league stage, he has been terrific for the Titans and is a key player in the coming years.
