Kagiso Rabada has been an impressive performer in crunch moments across all the formats. In the last few editions, he was terrific for the Capitals but missed out on the retentions. The PBKS team management picked him up for the 2022 season.

The first few games saw him giving 25-30 runs and taking an odd wicket, but had improved his performance with the new ball. The CSK game saw him finishing with 2/23, which enhanced his confidence. In the next two games, he took four wickets each and gradually became the best pacer in the tournament.

In the last three league games, Rabada took a total of five wickets and maintained a fine economy as well. Although the team could not get to the playoffs, the Protea pacer will serve as a lethal weapon in the next few editions.
