Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants will be playing the 42nd match of IPL 2022, at MCA Stadium in Pune. Currently, this season, LSG have won five and lost three, while PBKS has won four and lost four. Punjab Kings have played only one match at Pune this season, in which they defeated MI. On the other hand, LSG will be playing their first IPL match at Pune this season.

Shikhar Dhawan has been impressive at the top for Punjab Kings, while Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Liam Livingstone have been destructive in the middle order this season. Arshdeep Singh and Kagiso Rabada have been brilliant bowlers for the team. KL Rahul has been in top form for the Lucknow Super Giants, being the second-highest scorer and with two hundreds in the last three innings. Jason Holder and Krunal Pandya have been the top bowlers for the team.
