IPL 9 is now getting towards its business end when all teams are closing in to get to the playoffs stage. Rising Pune Supergiants and the Kings XI Punjab are the only teams that are out of the race for the playoffs. All other teams have their chances to make it to the playoffs. Punjab suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore last night and continue to take the bottom spot in the points table.

RCB, on the other side, have jumped to the second spot kudos to their excellent net run rate. Sunrisers Hyderabad continue to be on the top of the points table. The winner of the match tonight, between Gujarat Lions and Kolkata Knight Riders, will move to the second spot.

IPL 9 Points Table:

David Warner follows next with 567 runs to his name.

Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir will be in action tonight and aim to move up the ladder after the game. He is currently on the 6th spot.
