Another day and another century! Virat Kohli continued his ‘Bradmanesque’ form and went on a carnage at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium, Bengaluru. Facing Kings XI Punjab in yet another do-or-die game, Kohli batted in the same fashion in which he has been doing since the start of 2016 and went to register his 4th IPL century in the rain-affected game.

The persistent rain at the start of the game forced the game to be reduced to a 15 overs a side fixture. However, that didn’t bother Kohli and his opening partner Chris Gayle as both went after the Kings XI bowlers right from the start of the innings. There was no stopping at all for the duo and both looked equally aggressive.

The effect of their ruthless batting was such that RCB jetted off past 50 runs by the end of the 5th over and as we were in the 9th over the Royal Challengers’ total was well over the 100-run mark. The 10th over of the match saw Kohli and Gayle reaching their respective half-centuries. The pair could be separated only in the 11th over after putting together 147 runs for the first wicket. The Jamaican was dismissed after he scored 73 off 32 balls.

Kohli, however, continued batting with the same potency and went on to hammer the bowler mercilessly to most nooks and corners of the Chinnaswamy, reaching his 4th IPL ton in the 14th over. His inning, however, was brought to end in the same over after he was caught by Miller at long-off. He went back to the pavilion with the opposition players surrounding him to congratulate him for his magical performance. The RCB skipper scored 113 from just 50 balls.

Here is how Twitter reacted to Kohli’s magnificence on the field:
