40-year-old WWE legend John Cena has recently taken up on a new challenge. A change from the mainstream wrestling, the Doctor of Thugonomics decided to turn his attention to Australia’s favourite pastime. Cena is currently in Australia to promote his movie ‘Ferdinand’, and while he was there he tried to learn as much about cricket as possible.

Former Australian skipper Shane Watson, and now Sydney Thunder captain, tried to impart and teach Cena as much as he could. The duo was seen having a good time. Cena also took the effort to post the pictures on Twitter for his fans. He made a fun tweet too.

The Big Bash is set to kick off on Saturday, December 9th at North Sydney Oval with the Melbourne Renegades taking on Watson’s Sydney Thunder. The grand finale of the tournament has been scheduled for Sunday, February 4th.

Watson gives a strong stance on the Ben Stokes saga

The former Aussie all-rounder also gave a strong stance on the ongoing Ben Stokes saga. He said England need Stokes if the Lions fancy any chance of retaining the Ashes. However, Watson has implored the ECB to set a precedent and not call on him for the rest of the series.

The all-rounder is in New Zealand and is expected to play for Canterbury after the state association confirmed his availability. This has instead sparked rumours of an Ashes return for the dynamic all-rounder.

And while Stokes has cleared any air of ambiguity stating that his trip to New Zealand is to visit family, the ECB appears poised to rush their key man back into the Ashes fray in time for the third Test, should he be cleared by police for his role in a street brawl outside a Bristol nightclub.

Avon and Somerset Police have not issued any update yet on its investigation into the mishap that occurred in Bristol.
