'I am also feeling like an Interpol officer'- Yusuf Pathan excited ahead of watching Irfan Pathan starrer Cobra

Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan has proven that he is a man of many talents. While he still makes sporadic appearances as a player in cricket tournaments (for retired players), he has also proved his mettle as a broadcaster. Apart from all these, Irfan has also succeeded in establishing himself as an actor having made his debut in the just released ‘Cobra’.

As the movie hit the big screens on August 31, 2022, Irfan’s former India teammate and elder brother Yusuf Pathan heaped praise on his acting performance. Such was the level of excitement from Yusuf that he lived in Irfan’s onscreen character of an interpol officer while he was on his way to  watch the movie. Taking to his official Twitter handle Yusuf wrote-

Irfan Pathan’s role in Cobra

The southpaw played an important role in 'Chiyaan' Vikram’s latest movie ‘Cobra’ which has been  written and directed by R Ajay Gnanamuthi. Apart from Irfan Pathan and superstar Vikram, the movie also features KGF fame Srinidhi Shetty in a pivotal role.

Irfan’s role has been appreciated by the movie buffs and he was one of the main topics of discussion as he took his first steps in the movie business.

Even though Irfan’s role has been liked by one and all, the movie overall has received mixed reviews from the fans and critics alike. In ‘Cobra’ Pathan plays the role of a Turkish Interpol officer who is assigned the task of investigating the assassinations of Orissa’s Chief Minister and the Prince of Scotland. His character name in the movie is Aslan Yilmaz.

It remains to be seen whether Irfan Pathan will fly to India for the movie’s success celebrations as he is currently in the UAE where he is covering the ongoing  Asia Cup 2022 as a broadcaster.
