James Neesham didn’t have too many opportunities to make a mark in the first week of the Super 12. However, it was in this week where he got a few chances to impress one and all. The batting all-rounder didn’t disappoint and ensured that he performed well.

The Kiwi all-rounder scored 10 runs off 6 balls against Scotland. As he came to bat during the last 2 overs of the innings, he had to start hitting from ball one. However, it was the game against Namibia where he showcased his brilliance.

He scored 35 from just 23 deliveries and finished the innings superbly for the Kiwis. The fact that Neesham also took a wicket in the second innings was an icing on the cake. Thus, he went on to win the player of the match award for his all-round show.
