Top 5 intensive bowling spells in ICC CWC 2015: Batsmen have lit up this World Cup 2015 with dazzling stroke-play, centuries after centuries and 300s and 400s on the scoreboard, but the bowlers have also been at the top making life not easy for the batters either. There have been many instances of bowlers putting everything on the line and using every skill they have to pick wickets or make batsmen uncomfortable and win matches for their teams. This is a known fact in cricket that there is nothing more dangerous and testing than an inspired fast bowler. Even the greatest batsmen have admitted of failing to read a bowler who is in mid of a hostile spell. Here are 5 such bowlers and their great spells in the World Cup 2015. 5. Mohd. England never looked in the chase, being 132/5 at one time. Only Ian Bell and Jos Butler made 50s to restore some respect, but the architect of the kill was Rubel Hossain. The diminutive fast bowler bowled with lot of courage and heart to pick 4/53, four wickets which eliminated England from the World Cup 2015 and took Bangladesh to their first ever knockout match in World Cup history. Hossain dismissed batsmen like Bell and Morgan amongst others in a spell of a treat to watch fast bowling, one that will be remembered for eternity in the annals of the World cup. 1. Mitchell Starc 6/28 vs New Zealand Mitchell Starc almost won the match for Australia singlehandedly. Australia had scored 151 batting first and Starc almost single handedly won a closely fought match for Australia. After McCullum had made 50 in a whirlwind fashion, Starc picked up wickets in form of Taylor, Elliot, Guptill, Ronchi and Southee in an attempt to win the match. The only wicket he couldn’t get was Kane Williamson’s, who took New Zealand to the win in the 23rd over with a six after Starc had dismissed no. 9 and no.10 in the previous over and almost had the no.11.
