Bhuvneshwar Kumar discloses amount of his first pay cheque, also reveals what he did with the money

Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, on Saturday, also hosted a Q&A session on Twitter where he answered a plethora of questions. One of the unique questions hurled at him was about his first earnings. One of the fans asked Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar about his first pay cheque and what did he do with that money.

“How much was your first paycheck worth? Do you remember what you did with it? #AskBhuvi,” the fan tweeted. Responding to the question, the Meerut-born quick revealed that it was for Rs 3000. “It was for Rs3000. I shopped and still managed to save some,” responded 30-year-old Bhuvneshwar.

The BCCI is one of the richest boards in the world and Indian players also earn a hefty sum while donning the national jersey. However, most of them have come forward through a humble background by toiling hard for success.

During the Q&A session, Bhuvneshwar also opined on the newly-introduced saliva ban in international cricket. Considering the risk of COVID-19 transmission, the ICC recently banned the usage of saliva to shine the ball for bowlers. ICC’s decision received mixed responses as some were against taking away the advantage from the bowlers.

Sharing his views, Bhuvneshwar also opined that it wasn’t possible to find sweat all across the globe and suggested the ICC to also come up with an alternative. “Sweat is not possible everywhere in the world, definitely it’s going to be challenging. Hope things get better soon as they were,” he said during the session.
