4. Jason Holder

Playing for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), last season, Jason Holder failed to perform up to the expectations as an all-rounder. At the 2022 mega auction, the franchise bought him at a hefty amount of INR 8.75 crore. But, the former West Indies captain couldn’t justify his price tag scoring 58 runs and picking up 14 wickets at a horrible bowling economy of 9.42 in 12 games.

With these disappointing numbers, he failed to make it to the retention list of LSG in November. This month, the Caribbean cricketer entered the 2023 mini-auction with his base price of INR 2 crore. However, the 31-year-old succeeded in fetching a big amount in the marquee event.

Grabbing the attention of Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), he pulled off a fine deal of INR 5.75 crore from RR. In 38 IPL games, the stylish all-rounder has amassed 247 runs and 49 wickets at a bowling economy of 8.57. In the upcoming season, he will look to deliver solid all-round displays to RR.
