The player list for the 2024 Women's Premier League (WPL) auction has been announced, with a total of 165 cricketers set to go under the hammer on December 9. Before the auction, 60 players from five teams, including 21 overseas players, were retained, while 29 cricketers were removed from their current rosters.

The WPL 2024 Player Auction features 104 Indians and 61 international cricketers, including 15 from associate nations. The list also includes 56 capped players and 109 uncapped cricketers. Each squad is limited to 30 players, with nine spots allotted for international players.

5 Capped players who have kept their base price less in WPL Auction 2024:

Lea Tahuhu- INR 30 Lakh

New Zealand pacer Lea Tahuhu is often considered to be the fastest bowler in women’s cricket. She regularly hits the high 120-125 kph. Surprisingly, she had gone unsold despite keeping her base price low at INR 30 lakhs.

In 79 Women’s T20Is, Tahuhu has 78 wickets with a best of 4/6 at an economy of 6.01. In the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), she has played six seasons so far and has also clinched 57 wickets in 70 matches at a decent economy of 6.12.
