In T20 cricket, many teams have preferred young players, but a few have given opportunities to veterans to showcase their skills. These cricketers, some well into their 40s and 50s, remain active in T20Is. Unlike most professionals who retire in their mid-30s, they have chosen to play and contribute at an international level. The following list of players last played in the year of 2025. Here are 10 oldest cricketers playing T20Is: 10. Ian Ganness (Turks and Caicos Islands) - 51 years and 170 days Ian Ganness played his last game at the age of 51 years and 292 days old and has represented the Turks and Caicos Islands in international cricket. Born on November 1, 1973, Ganness is a right-handed batter who has had the opportunity to feature in the shortest format of the game. Ganness played two T20 internationals, but with only one batting opportunity, he finished unbeaten on 0*. 9. Grant Cambell (Falkland Islands) - 52 years and 333 days Falkland Islands' cricketer, Grant Campbell, played his last game at the age of 53 years and 129 days on August 20, 2025. Campbell made his T20I debut against Costa Rica in March 2025. In two matches played, he did not bat but picked up a wicket with figures of 1/13 in his second game at an economy rate of 6.50. 8. Robert Johnson (Turks and Caicos Islands) - 53 years and 110 days Robert Johnson represents the Turks and Caicos Islands. At 53 years and 234 days of age, he is among the oldest players in international cricket. A right-hand batter and right-arm medium-fast bowler, Johnson has featured in two T20Is so far. Dwight Weakley (Bahamas) - 55 years and 185 days Dwight Glenroy Weakley is a veteran cricketer who continues to play for the Bahamas at the age of 55. Weakley made his T20I debut in December 2024 against Brazil and last represented his country as recently as June 2025 against the Cayman Islands, at 55 years and 185 days of age. A bowling all-rounder, he scored 22 runs across five T20Is with a top score of 6. However, he bowled six overs across three innings, conceding 38 runs for no wicket. His last outing for his team came in March 2025. 3. Alan Dawson (Falkland Islands) - 56 years and 342 days Alan Dawson, 57 years old, was born on April 4, 1968, and represents the Falkland Islands. Dawson made his debut against Costa Rica in March 2025. In three matches played so far, he has scored a mere four runs, with his highest score of three coming in the second T20I of his career against the same opponents. 2. Joseph Lucky (Costa Rica) - 60 years and 192 days: Joseph Ramkellawan Lucky is one of the oldest players to feature in a T20I. Born on October 10, 1964, the Costa Rican cricketer took the field against Turks & Caicos Islands in Panama City on April 20, 2025, at the age of 60 years and 192 days. This feat made him the second-oldest player to play T20I cricket, only behind Andrew Brownlee of the Falkland Islands. Lucky has batted twice and scored just a single run across four games. On the bowling front, he has bowled just one delivery and leaked nine runs. 1. Andrew Brownlee (Falkland Islands) - 62 years and 147 days At 62 years and 147 days, Andrew Brownlee registered his name in history books as the oldest player to feature in a T20I. Representing the Falkland Islands, Brownlee made his debut against Costa Rica on March 10, 2025. The all-rounder appeared in all three games of the historic series, which was also the Falkland Islands’ first-ever international outing, making them the 106th team to join the T20Is. He managed to score just six runs and bowled six balls without taking a wicket across three games.
