Imran Khan was one amongst the four centurions from Pakistan as they ended up on 652 in their first innings after cleaning up India for 372 in their first innings. Imran starred in the first innings with a six-fer in the 25 overs bowled.

Having claimed a commanding 280-run lead, the ball was in Pakistan's court with the most part of two days in their hands. Imran carried forward the momentum to pick up another five-fer (5/82 in 30.5 overs) to help skittle India out for 286.

The eight-run target was chased in 2.1 overs, as Pakistan romped home comprehensively by 10 wickets. This was the first instance of four players scoring a century in an innings for Pakistan. It was also the first time a bowler had conceded 200 runs in an innings (7/220 in 38.4 overs) against Pakistan.
