Following the cricketing action in the third week, it’s essential to rate the performances put up by all bowling units.
3. Australia- 8.5/10
Australia are back in form after starting the tournament with two big losses. In the important game against Pakistan, the Aussies looked spectacular in all departments of the game and clinched a 62-run win. This was the Australian side’s second win in this competition.
On Bengaluru’s batting track, the Aussie batters gave their bowlers a mammoth total of 367 runs to defend. However, when the Pakistan openers Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq got set at the crease, the game started going away from the Aussie team’s hands. In the difficult situation, Marcus Stoinis didn’t lose faith and brought his team back into the contest with the key wickets of both openers.
Adam Zampa also held his nerves and took four wickets to steer his team to the magnificent win. After beating the Babar Azam-led side, Pat Cummins and his boys vanquished the Netherlands in Delhi. Saving a humongous total of 400, the Aussie bowlers bundled out the Dutch team on a paltry 90.
