IPL 2023: Team-wise one player who could be traded in the trading window
With the IPL trading window known to be highly significant in the past, the forthcoming window can be a wonderful opportunity for teams to trade players that they don't require with valuable assets.
3. Daryl Mitchell (Rajasthan Royals)
Daryl Mitchell’s role in the Rajasthan squad seems cluttered pertaining to his future in the franchise. The team is filled with batters and thus, he hardly gets an opportunity to don the pink and blue. The Kiwi played just two matches in the last IPL and scored 33 runs in the process. Even though he can be a handy bowling option, captain Sanju Samson was reluctant to try him.
The 31-year-old was bought towards the end of the auction at his base price of 75 lakhs. By then Royals had hardly signed enough foreigners and it was more of a desperate buy to fill the spot. Whether he was part of Rajasthan’s original plan or not, is still a question.
It is likely that Rajasthan might let him go in the upcoming trading window. There will be a lot of players on show with the T20 World Cup around the corner, and therefore Royals will definitely look to offload a foreign player and replace him with another promising talent.
