3. Travis Head vs West Indies, Perth, 2022
Australia's left-hander Travis Head suffered a similar fate in the first Test against the West Indies at Perth during the Caribbean team's visit in November 2022. Head was batting aggressively and reached 99 off just 95 deliveries with 11 fours and looked set for a rapid century. However, in a lapse of concentration, he chopped a delivery from part-time off-spinner Kraigg Brathwaite onto his stumps through a bottom edge. While Australia were already dominating the scoreboard, the dismissal left Head frustrated as he walked back just one run short of a milestone.
