Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings will take on each other in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, May 3. The two sides already met at Chepauk once this season. RCB emerged victorious by 50 runs in that encounter.

RCB had a mixed start to their season. However, they picked up momentum from the halfway stage. They come into this game on the back of three consecutive victories. A win against their arch-rivals would almost guarantee the hosts a spot in the playoffs.

On the other hand, it has been a season to forget for CSK. They went on a five-game winless streak after winning their season opener against Mumbai Indians. Their only other victory came against Lucknow Super Giants, a five-wicket win which came with three balls to spare.

Pitch Report

The Chinnaswamy has traditionally been a paradise for batters. However, the same cannot be said as far as this season is concerned. The pitch has acted a little two-paced in nature. Only one of the four contests played this season has been truly rewarding for batters here.

Weather Report

The forecast for Bengaluru on Saturday suggests a 43% probability of precipitation in the evening, as per AccuWeather. A strong south-west wind blowing up to speeds of 13 kmph is also anticipated. The cloud cover is expected to be 99%. The game is anticipated to be a cracker of a contest, and supporters would hope the game to proceed as scheduled.
