Moeen Ali opened up on scenarios for KKR to qualify for the playoffs of the IPL 2025
Moeen Ali spoke with the broadcasters ahead of the 53rd match of the IPL 2025 between RR and KKR. The star player opened up on scenarios for KKR to qualify for the playoffs of the 18th edition of the league. Moeen claimed the players knew what they had to do - Win all of their remaining games. He claimed the match against RR to be big for their qualification.
"We know what we have to do, we need to win all our games. It’s a big game today," Moeen said. Ali claimed RR to be a good side with some brilliant players. "They are a really good side and they have some brilliant players. We are looking forward to it," Moeen added. The star player then spoke about his KKR skipper.

The English regarded Rahane to be fine to play despite the injury. He felt the need for himself to be on the top of his game. Ali said what the management wanted from him - Bowl well when asked to, in some matches, in certain conditions.

"He (Rahane) is good, but he will hide somewhere in the field (due to the injury), which means I will be somewhere in the hotspot today. You need to keep yourself on top of your game and need to keep practising well. They told me at the start that I will play certain games, depending on the wickets," Ali added.
Moeen felt he had more chances as a bowler against Southpaws. He understood the difficulty of regularly feature in the XI due to the presence of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy. "You have to take it in your stride and try to be as professional as you can," he added.
"When there are left-handers in the opposition you have more chances of playing as an off-spinner. We have two of the best T20 spinners with us, so difficult to break into that side. They (Jaiswal and Suryavanshi) are talented young players, so it’s going to be challenge for us. We also have some world-class players in our side, so we are ready for it," Moeen concluded.
